Hello, and welcome to The Playroom Playbook! My name is Jessalyn, and I’m a mom to two busy little ones (currently ages 1 and 2) and the proud owner of an indoor play center right here in Morgantown, WV. With a Masters degree in Community Psychology specializing in Program Development and over a decade of experience designing, implementing, and managing children’s programs, I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to share my passion for play with you!For as long as I can remember, I’ve been enchanted by the magic and fun of childhood. However, my deepest professional passion is for community wellness, building supportive communities, and fostering inclusivity. I am so grateful to be able to align these interests, learning about how kids develop, learn, and engage with the world around them – and how we, as parents, caregivers, and communities, can provide the best environments for them to thrive. The Playroom is designed to be a place where kids can lead their own play (and therefore, their own learning), make friends, and experience unconditional love and support. For parents and caregivers, The Playroom is a place to make those magical memories with your little ones and also a rare opportunity to meet other parent-friends. What can you expect here?
